Join Our Team as a Waiter at Faircape Restaurant and Catering.
Faircape Restaurant and Catering is a proud part of Faircape Life retirement villages, offering exceptional dining experiences across six prime locations in the Western Cape. We provide top-notch dining services to both village residents and patients at our onsite healthcare centers.
Position: Waiter – Tokai Estate, Southern Suburbs
We are looking for a dedicated Waiter to deliver excellent service to our residents and guests with professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy at our Tokai Estate facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Table Maintenance: Change table linen as needed, ensuring all soiled or damaged items are promptly replaced.
- Set-Up: Maintain tables to the highest standards, ensuring all cutlery and crockery are clean and in good condition.
- Condiment Care: Clean and refill cruet and condiment sets regularly.
- Hygiene: Keep designated areas clean and adhere to hygiene standards.
- Menu Expertise: Have in-depth knowledge of menu items to recommend and explain options confidently.
- Service Excellence: Serve food and beverages according to standards with friendliness and respect.
- Customer Focus: Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing resident needs promptly while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Complaint Handling: Manage customer complaints effectively and report issues to the manager.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stock audits and report discrepancies or breakages.
- Billing Accuracy: Ensure precise order billing and report errors to management.
- Professionalism: Maintain high personal grooming and hygiene standards.
- Event Support: Assist with private events outside standard hours as needed.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Waiter.
- Bartending and barista experience is an advantage.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Additionally, your package will include:
- Sunday shifts compensated at time and a half.
- Double pay for public holidays.
- Discretionary quarterly bonuses based on individual and company performance.
Working Hours:
- Average of 16.25 shifts per month.
- Our standard working days span from Monday to Sunday, with operating hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, as outlined in the schedule.
