We currently have an exceptional opening for a VIP (Security) Officer located in Newton Park, Eastern Cape. Do you possess the qualities necessary to become our latest Purple Star? VIP (Security) Officers play a crucial role in ensuring a secure environment for individuals. Their responsibilities may include securing premises through surveillance monitoring or active patrolling.

VIP Officers are tasked with preventing loss and theft while reporting any irregularities or suspicious activities.

You will need to possess:

  1. Registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
  2. Prior experience in security.

Additionally, it is advantageous to have:

  1. A Matric certificate.
  2. Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities for the Brand:

Duties include:

  1. VIPs are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to the branch’s opening. The Branch Manager or Senior Team Leader will initiate the opening of the branch in the presence of the VIP Officer.
  2. The VIP Officer must perform a perimeter patrol before the branch opens to ensure security.
  3. VIP should inspect the area for any suspicious activity prior to the branch’s opening.
  4. The VIP Officer must remain highly vigilant and attentive to their surroundings at all times, both before and after the branch opens.
  5. Once the branch is open, the VIP Officer is also responsible for conducting a floor walk to ensure everything is in order.
  6. The VIP officer is required to verify that all observation checks have been completed prior to the Branch Manager or Senior Team Leader proceeding with their daily inspections.
  7. During both opening and closing hours, one VIP officer must be stationed away from the entrance to monitor their colleague and assess any potential threats.
  8. Patrols should encompass both the interior and exterior of the branch entrance, as well as the rear areas and all parking zones.
  9. It is essential to ensure that all two-way radios are fully charged for use in the early morning.
  10. Any malfunctioning equipment must be reported immediately.
  11. Batteries should be charged overnight to ensure they are operational at the start of your shift.
  12. Additionally, it is crucial to confirm that all panic buttons and two-way radios are in proper working order and stored securely.
  13. VIP Officers are required to carry their panic buttons, two-way radios, and earpieces to facilitate effective communication and quick access in case of an emergency.

Guest Services:

  1. First impressions are lasting – VIP Officers represent the initial point of contact in Hollywood.
  2. It is essential to create a positive impression by greeting guests with, ‘Good day, welcome to Hollywood.’
  3. Providing excellent guest service requires being friendly, helpful, polite, and courteous at all times.
  4. Proactively address any guest complaints and ensure that feedback is communicated clearly and positively.
  5. Foster a guest-centric culture within the branch and consistently promote the philosophy of ‘service with a smile.’

Adherence to regulations:

  1. VIP Offices are required to be fully attired in Amadoda uniforms, complete with name badges, prior to the commencement of their shift. This includes black shoes, black socks, and a white vest only.
  2. All individuals entering the premises, including team members, must be scanned.
  3. Staff should remain vigilant regarding guests departing the branch, noting if they arrived with any items that they are now leaving without.
  4. Bags are prohibited within the premises.
  5. Weapons or firearms are not permitted on the premises, with the exception of authorized law enforcement personnel.
  6. Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted entry into the premises.

Code of Conduct:

  1. While on duty, you are prohibited from sitting or lounging, using your cell phone, or eating.
  2. Smoking is not permitted during duty hours.
  3. Reporting for duty under the influence of alcohol is strictly forbidden.
  4. Abandoning your post may result in disciplinary action.
  5. Sleeping while on duty is also not allowed and may lead to disciplinary measures.
  6. Engaging in casual conversations with friends or other team members at your post is prohibited.
  7. Accepting tips from guests is not permitted.
