  • Sales and Promotions:

  • Ensure that your customer turnover hourly rate aligns with company goals.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Prioritize the safety of colleagues and customers by limiting exposure to potential risks.

  • Communication and Transactions:
  • Implement Dis-Chem’s 5-star communication principles for effective interaction with customers.
  • Handle all cash flow responsibilities, ensuring the safe and confidential management of daily takings.
  • Approve line voids and price changes with the supervisor’s signature.
  • Process all types of payments, including cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, and loyalty cards from our partners like Discovery Health Care, Momentum Multiply, and more.
  • Exchange and accept returned merchandise following authorization protocols.
  • Security Measures:
  • Securely place cash in the drop safe following Dis-Chem’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Keep your personal code and password secure, using them solely yourself and updating them regularly.
  • Ensure all outgoing items are scanned and paid for, and maintain the integrity of money stored in the till.
  • Be vigilant of suspicious activities and report them immediately to management.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Address customer inquiries concerning store merchandise and provide accurate information.
