Experienced Cashier Opportunities at Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Witbank
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking skilled Cashiers for our Witbank location, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a top-notch shopping experience. As a Cashier, you will accurately record customer transactions using the Dis-Chem operating system, adhering to company policies and standard procedures to maintain accuracy and reduce the risk of fraud.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Completion of Grade 12 / Matric
- At least 6 months of experience in cashier or till operations
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent command of the English language
- Basic customer service skills
- Availability to work retail hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with Dis-Chem’s customer service policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with customers
- Report customer feedback to the Frontline Supervisor or store management
- Maintain awareness of customer turnover targets
- Stay informed about current sales and promotions
- Prioritize the safety of colleagues and customers
- Implement Dis-Chem’s 5-star communication principles
- Manage cash flow efficiently
- Ensure all line voids and price changes receive supervisor approval
- Handle merchandise exchanges and process authorized returns
- Process all transactions, including cash, cards, vouchers, and more
- Manage loyalty cards, including partner programs like Discovery Health Care and eBucks
- Secure cash according to Dis-Chem’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Protect your code and password by keeping them confidential and changing them regularly
- Confirm all outgoing stock/items/scripts are scanned and paid for
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of daily takings, discussing only with management
- Be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to management
- Address customer queries regarding store merchandise
- Follow Dis-Chem’s security policies and procedures
